On October 7th I Just Felt Like He Loved Me
This is a story of my relationship with the man I love. It all started back on October 7th. My friend was having a birthday dinner party, she has been an amazing friend for years and I was not going to miss her party. I drove closer to the venue and was listening to melodious rock and blues. I entered and sat with my friends at the center of the party hall where they were eating a Reuben sandwich. The hall was decorated amazingly with balloons and other attractive decorative materials. Suddenly, a man dressed in a double-breasted suit entered and got my attention immediately. His eyes got me every time as they sparkled with vibrant emotion. His smile, oh his smile, it zapped my heart every time. His smile was something never to be taken for granted, it was magical. The slight dimple on his cheek revealed his boyish nature.
I was also looking amazing in my scoop-neck black dress with necklaces and a brilliant wristwatch. The beautiful vintage-inspired dress features a flowing tulle skirt trimmed in exquisite embroidery. The waistline is adorned with a beautiful removable satin sash featuring an array of top-of-the-line silk flowers. I felt like royalty in this custom-made special occasion black gown. Suddenly, we looked into each other eyes, and this time, he was smiling conspicuously. Then, I concluded in my heart that he loves me. However, we were not sure if both of us are single and ready to mingle. Surprisingly, he walked down to where I was sitting with my friends, pulled a chair, and sat beside me. I felt like someone who was sought after by someone so lovely.
He stretched his hand forward for a shake and we both did. This time, our cheeks were covered with a greater smile. My friends were staring at us. “Do you know that gentle-looking man?” one of them whispered into my ears. I shook my head to disagree and we continued to sip our drinks.
“Who are you?” I asked
“I am John, a friend of the celebrant” He replied.
“You have got an amazing name” I responded. This time, he was willing to get into a deep discussion with me; it was obvious and written all over his face. “Do you believe in love at first sight?” We began the discussion.
It was game time, the classic and entertaining game of “Can you?” It is the best way to make all your friends from different places know themselves, relate and unite. So, we were requesting one thing or the other from ourselves and the request must be granted, when it was John’s turn, he turned to me and asked “Can you dance with me?” I felt loved and started blushing, I looked at my friends as they shouted happily. I had no option other than to stand up to join him.
At these moments, He held my hand and we began to dance, lifting one leg after the other, the rhymes were outstanding and people clapped and shouted at the top of their voices. That made us get emotional and it looked as if the party was for us, suddenly, I fell in his arms, looking into his face as he gave me a peck on the cheek. We continued the party as we played many games and had fun.
No doubt! I and John were in love already. Could this be love at first sight? Is this emotion mutual? Will it last long? These are all the questions that kept running on my mind. But deep down in me, I knew I wanted this handsome, gentle-looking man, and yes! It will be a long-last relationship. After a few hours, the party came to an end.
John requested to give me a walk down to where I parked my car, I accepted. We had just left the party hall. When we walked by, he had giggled and pulled me towards himself, saying, “Come on, let us get some pumpkin spice over there and a cup of coffee!” This time, it was about to rain.
I do not like coffee. But when he handed me my cup and looked into my eyes while I tried it, it was the best thing I had ever tasted. My hand still tingled where he grabbed it, and it always looked like a message is sent across my spine to my brain. I loved the feeling so much
As we walked through the park with our drinks, a drizzle began to fall. He pulled out an umbrella from his bag, I hunched my shoulders.
“Don’t be silly,” he giggled, pulling me under the umbrella with him. I couldn’t help but laugh too, his laugh is infectious.
He pulled me down to sit on a bench, beamed down at me, and I could only gaze back adoringly.
“So …” he began. I knew this tone of voice; it is the lovely and romantic type.
“Who do you like?” he whispered, and I looked away. I wanted to say, ‘you, you, a thousand times you. You’re the only one I can ever think about. You’re handsome and sweet and funny and…’ Instead, I shrugged my shoulders and looked down at my cup.
He looked at me with a cautious smile. “If I tell you mine, will you tell me yours?”
“Okay,” I said.
“The person I like… …is you.”
I dropped my drink and blushed for a few seconds.
“Will you tell me who you like too?” He asked
“Yes, the person I like….. is you.”
We kissed each other and since that moment, it has always been a wonderful thing to be in a relationship with him. October 7 is a big day to always remember, a wonderful and unending love started from that day!
